Although the teenagers who live in the Tower Hamlets, East London, are used to a life of poverty, they spare no expense when it comes to celebrating their National Record of Achievement (NRA) ceremony, which is very much like prom in the USA. The event marks the end of compulsory schooling for the 16 year old teens and most kids use it to show-off to their peers by renting expensive luxury cars to chauffeur them around on the night. These Lamborghinis, Ferraris and even Bentleys cost more to buy than many of the houses in the area but the largely Bangladeshi community take pride in saving up to afford to be able to rent the cars for one night.
