When parts of South America unexpectedly experienced temperatures in the minus degrees, kids and adults were seen on the streets building snowmen. However, for the 11,000 homeless people who normally live on the streets of Sao Paulo, they had to be evacuated to temporary shelters.

I guess this is an unusual event, but It's winter in the southern hemisphere now and it's potentially colder the further south you get.

Nah, im from Brasil, its a little cold in winter every year, but as u can look in Brasil description of weater, we have no snow here. This was a very odd event.

Despite ONE cold week with lots of snow, the minimum temperatures did not break records and this HAS BEEN an unusually WARM winter in southern Brazil.
