If you can afford a Bentley, you can afford a professional detailer to come to your place of work or home to clean it for you. She has no one to blame but herself. Hopefully, the dumb bitch has insurance because Diego's Car Wash and Gas n' Go probably doesn't.
"she's a dumb bitch who has no one to blame but herself"...... what???
she's a customer who left her item with a professional establishment with the understanding that a service would be rendered. how is any of this her fault? just because she's rich?
No, she's a dumb bitch because she takes her very expensive car to a place that is used to washing Camry's & Honda's. If you own a Rolex and it needs repair, are you going to take it the mall kiosk that advertises $4.99 battery replacement? I doubt it - you're going to go to a specialist that deals with higher end, quality merchandise. If you buy a $2 million dollar home, will you buy your furnishings at Target? Even if they didn't wreck the Bentley, (which they did) if it were your car would you want them running it through the auto wash with the rotating brushes or wiping it down with the same rags that they just finished using to clean the mud off the wheels of some guy's F150? Even a small scratch in the paint on a Bentley (or Ferrari or Rolls, etc.) could cost thousands to repair. Nice things (i.e. expensive) take time, effort and money to keep them nice. This dumb bitch didn't show any responsibility for this requirement because she probably didn't buy the car - all she did was open her mouth and spread her legs for some stupid sorry ass boyfriend/husband that has more money than good sense.
man, i have my issues with women and i do enjoy your fun comments on them in general, but i don't know about this level of... whatever. sentiment, i guess. did you get cleaned out by divorce or something? at least that would make it understandable.
anyway, i see what you're saying... thanks for explaining... although really, she could simply be a rich kid or something who's not overly concerned about the paint job and stuff, no? day-to-day convenience might outweigh such concerns, especially if she has someone else to take care of it while she rotates to another car. in which case, again... nothing to do with a women, specifically. if it was a sheik from dubai we wouldn't be automatically tearing him down like this, would we?
in any case, this could have happened with any person and their car. whatever the situation, they would be right to be upset that an attendant smashed their car through a wall.
in the end i think the part i probably don't understand is lifestyles of the rich or whatever that you are probably alluding to. i don't really get what right and sensible conduct is among that group, so you're probably going over my head there. in other words, meh.
I agree with you that the car wash business is responsible for the damage and repairs, but it might bankrupt them (and possibly deservingly so). If they don't have insurance and refuse to pay, then she has to lawyer up and go through all that horseshit. The fact that it was a woman that owns this car makes no difference to me. If it was a guy, I would be referring to him as a 'dumb asshole'. What bothers me is people that have this 'walmart attitude' about so many things. They don't seem to care. This entire situation (and these postings) could have been avoided if she were to realize that an expensive car like this needs special care if you want it to retain it's value. Bentleys are NOT 'throw away cars' like a Ford Focus or a Kia. If she were the person that worked and earned the money to buy that car, I bet this wouldn't have happened since she would realize the effort that went into getting $122,000. It's like a high school kid whose parents buy him a new Camaro. He's probably going to run it into the ground. However, the kid that saves his fast food paycheck money and lawn cutting earnings in order to buy a 10 year old Camaro will probably take better care of it because he EARNED it. She was either given this car, won the lottery, or some other acquisition way that didn't involve hard work.
heh... well, as much as i admire various classic cars in a whimsical way, ALL cars are basically throw away cars to me, so we are definitely entering the scenerio from opposite sides on that.
maybe that's why i'm not too outraged by this story, especially as its being 2nd-hand delivered through the blogosphere, which is why we rarely tend to get a very good overview of events like this here. no, with every post we are all basically rubberneckers reacting to the story and then reacting to each others' reactions, like i did.
i get what you're saying, though. although with me, i tend to view most aspects of civilisation as crazy, so... well, maybe just leave it at that. :P
Jessica Sawyer left her $122,000 Bentley at a car wash in Manchester while she went and did other chores. 15 minutes later, she received a phone call from car wash.
