So, the obvious question is... why do you need Val Kilmer? Any run of the mill (cheap) actor could play the part.

Val is my most favorite! But after his makeover in "The Doors" where he portrayed Jim Morrison I find it quite hard to admire his makeover as Mark Twain

IMO mark twain wasn't quite that tired and bitter-looking in his photos, even in to old age. no, he had something of a mischievous glint in his eyes. this version looks more like an aged earp brother.
