#17 was a South African named Maurice Els. He raised the hippo from infancy. It mauled him to death a couple years ago.

I want to be all of those people getting the love.
If that would one day be my death I would have had the BEST life.

I approach humans with caution and know they can turn on you without warning. Wild animals will "sometimes" allow you into their world, but we do not know their individual trigger points developed by their life experiences and breeding.
A lot has been done to animals since the beginning of time. I personally believe they started out innocent, trusting and unafride as we did. cd
