Must point out that many of the images here are 'artists conceptions' and not actual photographs. No planet outside our own solar system has ever been 'seen' with one exception, and even then it was just a tiny white fuzzy dot.
If you want more real picture just tell the planets to sign up in Facebook. This way we don't have to take pictures. THEY WILL TAKE PICTURES OF THEMSELVES!!!
Although it may sound weird because we live on one, there is currently no theory that can fully explain how a bunch of gas and dust surrounding a star comes together to form a planet, especially a rocky one.
