It doesn't take smarts to hold on, it's a natural reflex.
You need to go back to school, or at least learn the meaning of common words.

That's not how I would have been hanging on to that bridge, I'm not sure how she could hang like that. And why didn't they just lower the bridge instead of waiting for a ladder?

The woman in question was a participant in the procession when she inadvertently got stuck on the railway bridge when it was lifted. Luckily she was smart enough to hold on tight but here are the photos of her ordeal!
