i understand it's a beneficial thing, but i'm not sure it needs to be heavily pursued. a balanced life will generally produce plenty of healing laughter. a lot of that will arise from peace of mind... which will spontaneously find plenty of things amusing and laugh-worthy.
a culture full of empty laughter is not necessarily a good thing, i suspect.
Laughter provides another form of physical exercise
Laughing can actually be a form of exercise, too. Laughing exercises the diaphragm, shoulders and abdomen (however, don’t quit your gym membership in exchange for a “Laugh-your-self-into-great-shape” plan).
