My thoughts exactly. Some of the later santas did not look amused.

Can't we just stop fooling our kids already? Neither god/allah nor santa exists! C'mon, give your kids a present because you actually love them (and only that), not because they were good boys/girls or got high grades during the year.

I have to bee good not because I'm expecting a present.
I have to know what I'm studying not because I'm expecting a present.
I can't kill/be a bad person because "god" will forgive me later (what is actually the worst of excuses).
