#1 - The guy signed a contract with a Catholic school. He knows Catholics are anti-gay. It was a stunt. When you sign a contract you're saying you honor what's in it. Those kids were fools and dupes.

not nece-celery. the pope himself says that the anti-gay stuff is childish, so there's a bigger issue involved than just the contract.

(if nobody ever pushes for rights, they don't just give em out for free, ya knows)

#1 In Norway the salvation army's christmas concert was recently boicoted by a number of artists because an openly gay person was refused a certain position in the organization. They defend it with the fact that they are a religious community, and that their rules have to be respected. Well, guess what: There's a set of other rules, called "the law" which dictates that it's illegal to discriminate people based on (among other things) sexual orientation, and that law is above any rules or regulation any organizations or communities set for themselves.
