actually, i'd say #6 is an underestimation, if anything. i find that aerobic exercise before some event is a great way to calm myself, stimulate the brain, and aid alertness.
no doubt many physical and biochemical effects are going on, such as better bloodflow, systemic endorphin release, boost to neurotransmitter functionality, etc, etc.
