Yeah, Apple sells a lot of over priced crap based on ideas that were stolen from obscure products from the 1960s and 70s. However, not that I like Steve Jobs or his philosophy, you have to admit he was pretty good at not only convincing the world that they NEED each and every one of those shitty products but at getting them to upgrade to the newest model every 6 months. Without him Apple is going the way of Blackberry, Nokia, Motorola, and Atari.

If you believe in karma, Jobs died the death he deserved, only too quickly - it should have been more painful and more lingering...

jobs was an asshole, but he was also a pretty brilliant ideas man. if you can't reconcile the fact that both things can be true, well... good luck to you.

and the idea that jobs stole the WYSIWIG GUI is pretty much nonsense. xerox got paid for the famous walkthrough at PARC, and apple greatly expanded the set of ideas. not even close to bill gates-level theft.
