It doesn't surprise me. Newfoundlanders are some of the nicest, kindest people in the world. Besides, Americans would do the same for us. Too bad we don't have open borders anymore, but that is what happens when we have throngs of unsavoury people flooding our countries.

darkraisin...I am Irish. My father was born in Ireland and came to Canada when a child. He taught me Irish history, culture, etc.
He had a great respect for the Natives, which he passed on to me, and told me never to forget that this is their country first.
It saddens me to see the ungrateful swarming Ireland, Canada and the U.S. They have no respect for anyone. Don't get me wrong, as there are good people who immigrate, but too many are just plain bad news.
