the butterfly bushes in my place back east used to attract ruby-throateds. boy, do i miss that.

yes. they liked to perch on the high bulbs of the summer-sprouting onion grass, if you know what i'm talking about. they let me get amazingly close the day i went for photos. magical moment. <3
