That movie was in theaters in 1985 and that 'hidden easter egg' was well known by 1986...

...there's all kinds of hidden details like that - Google is your friend.

This is one of many causality examples used in the film. Are people getting dumber and/or are film makers not including details like this in movies any more? This was the whole mechanic of the franchise.
