The steering column, Gauges, Stereo, Engine management screen and steering wheel, Rack and pinion, Shock absorbers, Wheels and brake calipers are the only bought pieces. Everything else on this car is custom made for it and is not sold anywhere by anyone else.

I'm sure it runs like a scalded dog but the styling doesn't work for me. What was the final cost? $250,000? $300,000?

If everything is removed and tossed, why not just build a new car from nothing?

^^ Because they needed the VIN number so they didn't have to mess with emissions or other hassles of creating a car from scratch.
