#39 There's a difference between binding and assuring. Without a constitution, our constitution in particular, we would end up just like North Korea or the former Soviet Union because of all of the socialists in office and around the country who are only held in check currently by the intact Constitution.
Control of the masses... or peasants, or people, has been and always will be the ideal ending for any government or political assertion.
The United States was based on the concept and purpose of avoiding such an outcome. The wording in our constitution was carefully chosen and to a point that even today, even the most pointedly egregious efforts are almost immediately set aside.
The irony now kicks in because... if not for that document, those who seek to take it down, would have foundation on which to launch their offensives.
Liberty... or the right to speak just as we do right here, right now... is part of this concept :)
