Sharp dressers but what's with the beard on all of them ????any older well dressed guys in their 60s and 70s...I'm 72 with clean shaven faces like myself I want to be able to relate....Thanks

I agree with Tamzine. A beard is great--I have one! But clean shaven faces are classic too. Or does being a "hipster" require a beard?

As a middle aged man who often sports a goatee or rounded off chin beard,I would say that it DOES seem to be a requirement if you want to dress like the guys in these pics. However, I'm not a fan of the large, face covering beard look either and find it strange that the fashion/image is a riff on chore/Victorian clothing with a modern twist but you MUST have a large Victorian style Bees nest on your face or you are considered to have got the look wrong some how.

As you age your wrinkles just don’t look good. Think about aging women. We all prefer smooth tight skin. The beard distracts from the wrinkles. Also if you are balding like many older men the beard works in the same way. Finally if you are just not handsome…same thing.

A beard simply shows you are comfortable with the man you have become; not a dig at the man next to you. If media thinks older men with beards are cool right now; get ready that will change.

Worst dressed "hipsters" I've ever seen. Most of these guys look like they spend more time getting made up than our wives. Trust me most women hate that.
