well, you have to provide ID and whatever else when you present a winning ticket, right? that might not have worked out so well for the burglar, either.

They learned it was worth big money and left it sitting in the car? Idiots.
The couple had bought a Powerball ticket earlier in the year but didn’t win anything at the time. They found the ticket and decided to check it again just in case and learned it was worth $1million as a winner in the “second chance prize”. The ticket had been lying in the car when it was burgled but the thief missed it completely.
