#12 That is Super Hard to believe. We love Mandioca here, we eat in many ways and I ate it more than once raw. Even saw ppl make milk from it, like soy milk. What really can happen is fermentation. Usually the flour made of mandioca pass though a fermentation process and its not good to eat at that moment. #14 That sounds like a "true lie", I drank absinthe more than once and all you will notice is the high % of alcohol without the burning that normally alcohol feels like. #16 prolly true, the nut is from "Caju" seed and the outer layer of the seend has an oil that burns like gasoline and and make chemical burns on sensitive skin like back of your hand. And I never seen anyone "steam" it, we actually set it on fire until the oil burns out and then open the seed to remove the nut. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-acpVChk3-jk/UJ-_c6m8yFI/AAAAAAAAjrw/L7f8Ryvw7Sg/s1600/ Assar+castanha+de+caju+em+flandre+%C3%A9+t%C3%A3o+bom%0A.jpg #18 Another hard to believe, all cities here in Brazil that I lived in had trees of those and people eat this juicy sweet fruit as much as they like raw or natural juice. What I heard about it is that the acid taste that u have (like lemon taste) can stain your teeth. Gotta google it out tho.
