This guy won a lot of points when he decided to take on this homemade project for his girlfriend and hopefully she appreciated all his hard work.
The book he used is ‘Joy is an Inside Job‘ by Don Blanding which is a poetry book on happiness.
He started be painstakingly gluing all the pages together with glue sticks.
Then cut out a rectangle the size of her Kindle.
He saved these two pages from the book to decorate the case.
Next he used a mixture of water and Elmer’s Glue on the outside of the pages.
To prevent warping, he flattened out the case while the glue dried.
Then he inserted a plastic Kindle case.
The two saved pages glued in place.
And she loved it.
“After opening the present she was like, “what is this? where did you buy it?” so I opened up the post and she started to cry,” says saponifi3d.
