Photographer Martine Gingerich documented a mouse rescue from Lake Ontario in Toronto, Canada. When she was walking by the beach, she saw a woman with her dog in a weird position. She approached and the woman told her that she was trying to reach a little mouse that had fallen into the water from an icy wall. It took a lot of effort and energy for the mouse to swim to the beach. So when it crawled out from the water, it just collapsed there. The woman took it, put it into her gloves and sat on a nearby bench waiting for the mouse to regain her strength. After that she released it. Happy end.
