The fire brigade couldn't put out the fire for several hours. "Positive Energy" was docked near the fuel dock, so the U.S. Coast Guard helped tow the yacht to a more remote location where it was safe enough to continue fight the fire and where the fire couldn't damage other vessels docked in the marina.
