#75 is one of the dumbest things (as an American) I've seen/heard. Those that achieved the moon landing used the metric system to do so, and had to correct an error by someone who used the US standard system.

The big problem is the US lost their balls when it came time to change over to the metric system. They Started in the 70's, but never completely followed through. 1 and 2 litre bottles just doesn't finish the job. We should have been for the most part, completely immersed and almost completely metric now. It just takes the will of the people and government to make it happen.
