Aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), is expected to join the U.S. Navy's fleet this fall. It cost $12.9 billion and is the first warship of its kind. The supercarrier is 1,100 feet long  with 25 decks tall, and when it enters the water about 112,000 tons of water is displaced.
