When Candace Hopkins, 24, from Melbourne, saw her photos from her 21st birthday she was shocked to say the least. She never felt herself really fat even though she knew she gained a lot of weight. Candace was slim when she was a kid and turned to food for comfort after she failed to get on to a veterinary course she dreamed about. She used to have a junk food diet filled with chips, takeaways and sugary sweets.
So, when Candance started her slimming journey she weighed 114 kg (252 pounds) and after three years of hard work and healthy diet her body has shrunk to 55 kg (121 pounds). She said that documenting her progress by regularly taking selfies helped her to stay highly motivated for losing even more weight. She is now a fitness instructor and runs her own fitness studio.
