Here is the “Game of Thrones” actors at the Emmy Awards. Unsurprisingly, the TV show dominated the 2016 Emmys and the actors have completely stolen the spotlight. Here is what they look like when they’re not on the show.

After six seasons, Daenerys Targaryen is finally on her way to Westeros to seize the Iron Throne for her own.

British actress Emilia Clarke who plays Daenerys is actually a brunette in real life.

Jon Snow was resurrected and declared King in the North after an epic battle with Ramsay Bolton.

Kit Harington, the English actor who plays him, tried to convince fans Jon Snow was really dead at the end of season five. As if.

Arya Stark has left behind the House of Black and White. The last time fans saw her, she was slitting Walder Frey's throat at The Twins.

British actress Maisie Williams who plays Arya is much more glamorous than her character.

Tyrion Lannister was named Hand of the Queen and will be helping Daenerys conquer Westeros next season.

American actor Peter Dinklage won two Emmys for his role on the show.

Sansa Stark has finally escaped Ramsay Bolton's clutches and reclaimed her Stark ancestral home, Winterfell.

British actress Sophie Turner is actually a blonde in real life, but they dye her hair red for the show.

Brienne of Tarth swore her sword to Sansa Stark in season six. She also has a complicated relationship with Jaime Lannister.

She's played by Gwendolyn Christie, who had to cut her hair for the role.

Ramsay Bolton, the despicable heir of House Bolton, was finally defeated by Jon Snow and killed by Sansa Stark.

He's played by Welsh actor Iwan Rheon, who is certainly not as evil as his "Game of Thrones" character.

Jaime Lannister returned to King's Landing from the Riverlands to see his twin sister Cersei crown herself Queen of Westeros.

The Danish actor who plays Jaime, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, is just as dashing in real life.

He's accompanied by Gilly, a member of the Free Folk who Sam saved from her father (and abuser) Craster.

English actress Hannah Murray is barely recognizable as Gilly on the Emmys red carpet.

Varys, the plotting eunuch who is also known as "the Spider," set sail with Daenerys to Westeros.

Conleth Hill, the Irish actor who plays Varys, shaves his head for the part.

BONUS: Here's what he looks like with hair!

The Hound, aka Sandor Clegane, was brought back form the brink of death. He's now traveling with the Brothers without Banners through Westeros.

Scottish actor (and musician) Rory McCann is not scarred like his character — or as grumpy. He rounded out the 11 actors who represented the series at the Emmys.

After the death of her son and her enemies, Cersei Lannister named herself Queen of Westeros.

British actress Lena Headey was unable to attend the Emmy Awards. Her dark brown hair is very un-Lannister.

The High Sparrow was defeated by Cersei at the very end of season six. He died with many others in a wildfire explosion.

Jonathan Pryce is the Welsh actor and singer who plays the High Sparrow. He looks much kinder than his militant on-screen counterpart.

Margaery Tyrell sadly met her end in the devastating wildfire explosion in the Sept of Baelor in episode 10.

Margaery is played by British actress Natalie Dormer, who is actually blonde and wore a wig for the show.

Loras Tyrell — Margaery's brother — faced the Faith during his trial right before Cersei's wildfire laid waste to the Sept of Baelor.

Despite knowing his character's fate, English actor Finn Jones was all smiles at the show's premiere earlier this year.

Mace Tyrell was the cartoonish patriarch of the Tyrell family and father of Loras and Margaery. He was killed in the Sept of Baelor explosion.

English actor, screenwriter, and film director Roger Ashton-Griffiths looks a lot less silly without that facial hair.

Lancel Lannister tried in vain to stop the wildfire from igniting beneath the Sept of Baelor.

Eugene Simon — seen here with longer hair — is the British actor who plays Lancel.

Septa Unella was the religious zealot who made Cersei's life hard in seasons five and six. Cersei finally got her comeuppance in the end.

Hannah Waddingham is the English actress who plays the strict Septa. Who knew blonde hair was lurking under her grey habit?

Cersei left the undead Mountain aka Ser Gregor Clegane alone with Septa Unella. It's a mystery what he did to her.

Hafþór Júlíus "Thor" Björnsson is an Icelandic professional strongman who plays the Mountain. He's 6'9'' and recently obliterated his own keg tossing record.

The boy king Tommen Baratheon had a trying season that ended in his self-defenestration.

Dean-Charles Chapman plays Tommen, but his hair is darker in real life.

Maester Pycelle was murdered by Qyburn's little birds in the season finale.

Julian Glover has had a wide range of roles, including General Maximilian Veers in "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back" and the James Bond villain Aristotle.

Missandei is Daenerys's trusted advisor. She'll be helping Daenerys as she travels to Westeros.

She's played by English actress Nathalie Emmanuel, who looks just as regal as Daenerys on the red carpet.

Grey Worm, the leader of Daenerys' unsullied troops, is on his way to Westeros with his Queen.

British actor and singer Jacob Anderson lets his hair grow out more than his character Grey Worm.

Theon Greyjoy has reunited with his sister Yara and teamed up with Daenerys to take back the Iron Throne.

English actor Alfie Allen is much more clean cut than Theon. He's also singer Lily Allen's brother.

Yara Greyjoy joined her fleet with Daenerys' cause after explaining that she wanted to be Queen of the Seastone Chair.

Gemma Whelan is an English actress and comedian. She looks pretty different out of character.

After tracking down Daenerys, Jorah Mormont was sent on a mission to find a cure to his greyscale.

Jorah is played by Scottish actor Iain Glen who is just as swashbuckling as his character — minus the greyscale.

Daenerys broke the heart of her former lover Daario Naharis by having him stay behind in Meereen to keep the peace with the sellswords the Second Sons.

Dutch actor Michael Huisman has shorter hair than Daario, but is just as smoldering off-screen.

The red priestess Melisandre has now been banished by Jon Snow from the north for killing Princess Shireen.

Carice van Houten is the Dutch actress who plays Melisandre. She seems much less serious than her character.

Davos Seaworth is now Jon Snow's right hand man and currently at Winterfell.

Irish actor Liam Cunningham keeps his beard a bit more trim than the Onion Knight he plays on HBO.

Tormund Giantsbane is the fierce wildling who fought along Jon Snow at the Battle of the Bastards.

Norwegian actor Kristofer Hivju has that beard in real life, but his general appearance is a lot more tame.

Ser Alliser Thorne, one of the brothers of the Night's Watch who murdered Jon Snow in last season's finale, was executed by a newly resurrected Jon Snow.

Welsh actor Owen Teale, who plays Ser Alliser, looks like quite the friendly guy in real life.

Ramsay murdered his father Roose Bolton after the former had a true-born son with his wife, Walda.

The Irish actor Michael McElhatton played the sadistic and cold-blooded Roose to a T.

Rickon Stark didn't have a single line this season and was killed by Ramsay Bolton during the Battle of the Bastards.

Irish actor Art Parkinson started his career as Rickon when he was only seven years old.

The wildling Osha died at Winterfell after trying to murder the evil Ramsay Bolton. He was too quick for her.

In addition to Osha, British actress Natalia Tena also played Nymphadora Tonks in the "Harry Potter" film series.

Wun Wun was the last giant in Westeros. He died at the hands of Ramsay Bolton during the Battle of the Bastards.

Ian Whyte is the Welsh actor and stuntman who plays Wun Wun.

Petyr Baelish, also known as "Littlefinger," came to Sansa's rescue in season six. Will he be her undoing in season seven?

In real life, Irish actor Aidan Gillen prefers the clean-shaven look.

Brienne is accompanied by Podrick, Tyrion's former squire, as she travels through Westeros.

Pod is played by Scottish actor Daniel Portman, who looks much more debonair than his on-screen character.

Bronn is a continual fan favorite in "Game of Thrones." This time around, he was with Jaime Lannister in the Riverlands.

Jerome Flynn is an English actor and singer. He actually looks quite a bit like Bronn in real life.

Arya's tormentor at the House of Black and White was known only as the Waif. She and Arya had an epic chase scene through Braavos that ended in her death.

Faye Marsay is the British actress who plays the Waif. Here, she looks much more polished than her on-screen counterpart.

Jaqen H'ghar let Arya Stark leave the House of Black and White for good.

Thomas Wlaschiha is a German actor who keeps his hair short in real life.

Bran Stark is now the new Three Eyed Raven. His visions and forays into the past will be instrumental in coming seasons.

English actor Isaac Hempstead Wright is now 17 years old. He started working on "Game of Thrones" as Bran when he was only 11.

Bloodraven never got to complete his training of Bran before he was killed by the White Walkers.

Max von Sydow is a Swedish actor who played Bloodraven. He also had a part in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

Fans were devastated when it was revealed that Hodor sacrificed himself for Bran by "holding the door" — the phrase that devolved into the one word he said for the rest of his life.

His real name is Kristian Nairn and he's a Northern Irish actor and DJ. He's also 6'11''!

Meera Reed is now the only person left to help Bran get south of the Wall.

Eleanor "Ellie" Kendrick is an English actress who has played Anne Frank in the BBC's 2009 miniseries "The Diary of Anne Frank" as well as Helen in the British show "Misfits."

Benjen Stark came back in season six as a partial wight who had been saved by the Children of the Forest. He helped Bran and Meera escape.

English actor Joseph Mawle has that Stark look about him even in real life.

The Night King and his White Walkers are making their way down to Westeros. Who will stop them?

The Night King was recast in season six to be played by Vladimir Furdik. We saw him as a human in season six episode five "The Door."

One of the key Children of the Forest characters was Leaf, one of the last of her kind and the creator of the White Walkers.

Kae Alexander is the Japanese actress who played Leaf. The makeup to get her into character took 10 hours.

Samwell Tarly has finally made it to Old Town to become a maester at the end of season six.

Here's the English actor John Bradley-West, who plays Sam, all dressed up at the show's season six premiere.
