#18 - Sounds like something from the book by Nekrich A.M.

As far as I know:

Sep 1, 1939 - German and Slovakian forces attack Poland. UK and France declare war on Germany but take no real actions, just throw a load of leaflets.

Sep 12, 1939 - Anglo-French Supreme War Council 1st meeting takes place at Abbeville. Chamberlain and Daladier decide not to engage German forces despite that the war was already declared. Why dind't your source mention that part?

Sep 16, 1939 - goverment of Poland flees. Polish ambassador in USSR was informed that since Poland state de-facto exists no more, USSR is going to protect the population of Western Ukraine and Belarus from possible German aggression by taking Eastern Poland territories.

Sep 17, 1939 - USSR proceeds into Eastern Poland.

Sep 28, 1939 - German—Soviet Frontier Treaty was signed.

Nov 30, 1939 - USSR starts Winter War with Finland (which have already shown support for Hitler) in order to achive by war what it couldn't achive by diplomacy - provide protection of Leningrad (now St.Petersburg).

Nice to see how slim the propaganda is nowadays: squeeze a piece of lie into a load of useless trivia, users won't check the info anyway.
