It is widely known that only a small group of people has a giant portion of world’s wealth in their pockets. Every year Bloomberg L.P., a financial company, publishes a chart of richest people in the world. Take a look of 2016’s list as of November 14, ranging from American software kings to Chinese banking giants.

 

Steve Ballmer (net worth: $25.2 billion)

Born in 1956 in Detroit, Michigan, Steve Ballmer is the former CEO of Microsoft, the world’s biggest software maker. He stepped down in February 2014 and remains the largest individual shareholder of the company, which makes the Windows operating system, the Xbox360 game console, and Surface tablet computers. The billionaire bought the NBA team LA Clippers in 2014.

Jorge Paulo Lemann (net worth: $26.2 billion)

The richest person in Brazil, Jorge Paulo Lemann is a prominent Brazilian-Swiss investor who shares control of Newbelco, the world’s largest beer maker, with partners Marcel Telles and Carlos Sicupira. Wang Jianlin (net worth: $32.1 billion)

Wang is the chairman and founder of Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group. The Beijing-based business has interests in property development, department stores, tourism, hotels, and entertainment. It became the world’s largest cinema operator after buying Kansas City-based AMC Entertainment in 2012. Wang’s father was a combat veteran in World War II and China’s civil war.
