Another flag influenced by the Daughters of the American Revolution, who were incremental in its design, the green is due to it being the Evergreen State and George Washington is depicted because I shouldn’t have to explain to you why George Washington is on the flag of Washington state. FUN FACT: Due to the seal having to be stitched on both sides of the flag, it is the most costly state flag to produce.
