René Maltête moved to Paris at the age of 21, and bought a Semflex 6×6 camera 3 years later in hopes of pursuing a serious photography career, but became popular for his street photos filled with very sophisticated French humor instead.

In this world’s most prestigious national photo contest, photographers are judged against others from their country of origin, regardless of which of the 10 categories the photo was submitted to.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (more commonly known as "Fazza"), 34, is also the king of social media with over 7,5 million followers on Instagram and Twitter. It’s understandable, because he does not only perform his princely duties like being Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, the Dubai Autism Centre, and the Dubai Sports Council, but also finds a lot of time for his hobbies. He fills his free time with skydiving, horseback riding, cycling, ziplining, spearfishing and diving. If that's not enough, he is also a talented photographer, world traveller, and published poet. It’s truly awesome to follow every step of such a man.

Adam Baidawi is a freelance photographer, who traveled to North Korea last year to make a feature for Australian GQ. This is what he and others on his visitor tour was shown, and it’s a strange mixture of staging and harsh reality.
