These were the places of most famous World War II battles which were shattered by the war. But after more than 70 years much has changed.

The city of Stalingrad.

Battle of Stalingrad – fought 23 August 1942 – 2 February 1943.

The city is now known as Volgograd.

The Ardennes: Belgium, Luxembourg

Battle of the Bulge – Fought Dec 16, 1944 – Jan 25, 1945.

Today there are memorials all along the area.
