Sandra Bullock – Speed 2: Cruise Control (1997)

Speed was a great action movie with a novel premise and bare-bones style. The sequel wasn’t as thrilling – it was about a cruise ship instead of a bus, and they couldn’t get Keanu Reeves to come back, so Jason Patric subbed in. Bullock tried her best to right this sinking ship, but charm alone couldn’t bring the box office total to more than $48 million. That’s not great when the movie costs $160 million.
