Moments later the red Porsche, driven by Roger Rodas, would crash into a concrete lamp post and caught fire, killing both men. The investigation into the crash concluded that the car's speed – between 80 mph (130 km/h) and 93 mph (150 km/h) – and age of the tyres were the primary reasons behind it.
