Hinder managed to break through to the top of the US charts with their rock ballad. With lead singer Austin Winkler's recognizable rasp, emotive performance, and easy-to-memorize lyrics, it was hard not to sing along with the band, but that still doesn't mean the song is good. Also, the song is about a guy wishing his current girlfriend was his ex-girlfriend, so it's sad and not romantic, yet some couples took it as such.
