In German-occupied France a young Jewish refugee, Shosanna Dreyfus, narrowly escapes murder at the hands of Colonel Hans Landa but witnesses the slaughter of her family. Several years later she plots her revenge when German war hero Fredrick Zoller becomes interested in her. To set her plan in motion she arranges a movie premiere for every major Nazi officer at a theater she now runs. The event catches the attention of a group of Jewish-American guerilla soldiers who have become so good at killing the Nazis that the Germans refer to them as The Bastards.
