Set against the backdrop of Britain’s dystopian future, V For Vendetta tells the story of Evey Hammond who gets saved from a life-or-death situation by a shadowy freedom fighter wearing a Guy Fawkes mask, known only by the alias of “V.” As Evey learns the truth about V’s mysterious background she also gets introspective, finally emerging as his unlikely ally in the plot to bring freedom and justice back to a society fraught with cruelty and corruption.
