In February 1978, two kids were playing in the mud in a LA backyard, when they hit something that sounded like a car roof. Flagging down a sheriff’s cruiser, they ended assembling a team and unearthing the car. Upon investigation, it was determined that the car was stolen a few years earlier and was never recovered.
