The Amazon founder, Bezos orignally named the company “Cadabra” in July 1994 but it was misheard as “cadaver” during a telephone conversation with an attorney. He even considered naming it “Relentless,” but his friends warned it sounded too sinister, so it went online as Amazon a year later. Bezos still owns the domain name “Relentless.com” and it redirects to the Amazon homepage.
