Valley View Mall in Dallas was not abandoned. It was slowly closed as leases expired and was finally demolished to make way for a new mixed-used development. The once invincible Valley View Mall fell victim to population-suburban relocation and a new era of localized and internet shopping practices.
At nearly 100 ft tall, the Minister’s Tree House in Crossville, Tennesse is the biggest tree house in the world, but it’s been closed since 2012.
