The castle sits in Newport, Rhode Island, one of the oldest towns in the United States. It was founded in 1894 and has documented many hauntings over the years, especially from chairs in the dining room. Supposedly, there are two spirits attached to the chairs that guests often sense. People who sat in the chairs have reported chills down their spine, feeling strange sensations in their hands, or even being ejected by an unseen force.
