This WTF moment is clearly paused because people can’t believe what they just saw. As Wendy is running away from her ax-wielding husband, she sees an open room with a man dressed in a bear costume (complete with a convenient rear flap) giving another man a blowjob.

The scene actually alludes to a bit in Stephen King’s book about a previous owner of the hotel who had a homosexual affair with a man he coerced into dressing like a dog. But in the film, the scene is so random and out of context which makes it all the more shocking.
