I have seen a great number of poorly Photoshopped images in my time as a photographer and I can tell by the pixels that it is a fake,

Foundational makeup, touching, retouching, filtering. to me it is incredibly difficult to tell when a photo is fake, despite the obviously fake ones. With digital effects it is incredible what can be created. Sometimes I can't help but think what evil could be done by creating certain incriminating photos that are not real, but good enough to pass inspection.
