#91 If you don't mind work it's fine, I mean if they got it for a bargain & can charge more than the mortgage payments. If the market is stale or they you have to invest too much it might not make sense in the short term. If it's close to anything worth visiting a B & B may not be a bad idea either. Light use costs less than constant use if you factor in costs of maintenance and repairs often caused by tenant damage or alterations.
