We are not used to seeing transparent shells, but this snail’s shell is actually almost fully translucent. Its original name is Zospeum tholussum and was very recently discovered in 2013, at the depths of a cave in Croatia. It’s a tiny species with a size of around 3 mm. These glassy snails are usually blind and extremely cute.
