It's all normal to them. The same as my house and my car. It's only special to those that don't (yet) have those things.

I am not rich, but I do have a brother that is rich and I can tell you this, the best thing about having a lot of money is respect, even if it is false. People just treat you much better when you have money.

They are not respecting your brother; they are sucking up to him. Don't confuse the two. False respect is worse than disrespect, as disrespect is at least honest.
