Apes never ask questions.
Apes have high intelligence and they can be taught to do complex actions: recognize words and pictures, answer questions, play games, and make requests. And even though they can be taught sign language, scientists noticed that they never actually tried to get new knowledge by asking other apes or humans about something. Researchers believe that the ability to ask questions is the key difference between humans and animals.
