@Hello Wow indeed. How did you come up with abuse? Maybe the idea was that it was from playing sports. I've coached hundreds of athletes, mostly women; I can tell you there is always someone with some visible injury of some sort. Or of course, maybe she got drunk and fell down some steps, and this was a joke about it.
Also: Why would you assume abuse is only experienced by women? I've never hit anyone in all my 60 years; I've never called a girlfriend a name or used derogatory language of any sort. But my mother used to punch me in the head so hard I saw stars and lost time; doctors have assured me that I have permanent brain damage from that. ...I've also had 3 girlfriends who got physically violent with me, including one who did things that will never go away. ...I've also been stalked so badly I had to go to court over it, and ten years later, I still experience the fallout from it. ...And I had a major amount of money stolen from me by a woman. So shut up about women and how peace-loving they are. They're are as violent as men; they're just too dishonest to admit it.
