Am I just not meeting the right Canadians? I've known quite a few in the places I've lived, in college, and have even traveled to Canada. The French-Canadian I've come across have been some of the nicest people I've met. The rest though, were pretty rude. Especially the Italian-Canadians, and people from Toronto.
I met Stompin Tom Connors at the Woodsman Inn (on the Trans Canada Highway – hwy 69) on the Canada Day long weekend back in the late 80’s.Context: This is the guy who sang The Hockey Song.
