Actually those shoes are modeled from an earlier medieval model called the poulaine or crakow that had long pointed often curled up toes showing the wearer to be among the idle rich. This guy has most likely never worked a day in his life.

How far do you have to put the seat back to drive in those foot canoes? Maybe just remove the seat and drive from the back.
